                        MONICA  RUMPEL 

            Monica Rumpel, 96, of Arcadia, WI, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Nursing Home in Arcadia.

            She was born April 28, 1913 in the Town of Arcadia to Anton and Elizabeth (Sobotta) Soppa.  Monica married Raymond Rumpel and together they farmed.

            She is survived by 3 sons: Richard (Julie) Rumpel of Waukesha, WI, Anthony (Demaris) Rumpel of Lubbock, TX, and William (Nancy) Rumpel of Meileingen, Germany; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Clarice (Glen) Bawek and Martha (Clem) Pronschinske, both of Arcadia, and Theresa James of Alabama; and 2 brothers: Richard Soppa of Rockford, IL and Lawrence Soppa of Hawaii.

            Preceding Monica in death were her parents; husband; 1 stillborn son; and 3 sisters: Sister Miranda Soppa, Sister Elise Soppa, and Gertrude; and 3 brothers: Marcel, Michael and Fredrick Soppa.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Holy Family Parish, Arcadia, with Fr. Michael Klos officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Arcadia.

            Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia, where there will be a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.  Friends may also call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
